I stopped experimenting with film developers a long time ago. It's been all HC-110 for years. But...I was intrigued by 510 Pyro as I've never tried a staining developer. Processed my first roll (HP5) in Pyro today. The only thing I did "wrong" was to not use an alkaline fixer, but word on the street is that most people don't notice a difference. Mixed 1:100 using 4ml. It's like syrup, but the supplied oral syringe worked well. One cool thing is that the shelf life of an opened bottle is 6 years. YEARS. https://www.zone-imaging.co.uk/shop/p/510pyro.
@greg@gregnewman.io How do you carry the Mini? Seems like a back pocket (where I carry the field notes) would bend things in a bad way.
I set up a pair of Yubikeys with my critical accounts last week and so far have not locked myself out of anything. I'm kind of surprised.
@greg@gregnewman.io Honestly, I have mixed feelings. It's no fault of the Plotter, but rather my difficulty with ring binders. The smaller rings help, but being left-handed is still a disadvantage. I'm also not sure having such flexible options with papers, arrangements, etc. works with my brain. I need constraints! :). That said, mine is the A5 and I have the matching "bible" sized set in my cart.
@maique@social.lol Ugh! I should! It's so hard for me, though. I guess that's why you called it a "challenge" :).
@cdevroe@mastodon.social Thanks Colin. You're right about making them to have them. I've never regretted taking a photo, but I've often regretted not taking one
I'm feeling pretty unmotivated, photographically. Shooting film has felt like too much work, and I don't enjoy digital. I haven't liked the results I'm getting with either of them. Buying a new camera would help for maybe a few days, but that's the last thing I need. I should probably just load up a camera and get out and do something, anything, with it.
Well, the DEsk desktop environment is excessively, wonderfully skeuomorphic: https://github.com/fyzugx/DEsk
It's not quite ready (doesn't work well on 4k/5k monitors), but it sure is fun.
For my own mental health, I need to follow only those people who's contribute-to-complain ratio tends toward ∞.
@Luke@typo.social You know, it started as an excuse to use the date stamp, but it's become a useful addition! Now if I could figure how to organize them :)
